SHIPPING POLICY

BasiliskHairs (“we” and “us”) is the operator of (https://basiliskhairs.com/) (“Website”). By placing an order through this Website you will be agreeing to the terms below. These are provided to ensure both parties are aware of and agree upon this arrangement to mutually protect and set expectations on our service.

1. GENERAL

All of our products are HANDMADE & MADE TO ORDER. 

Production time – depends on our workload at the moment, and ranges from 10 to 20 business days (not including weekends. That’s 2 or 4 calendar weeks). Current production time – you can check PAYMENT & DELIVERY, or by writing to us by e-mail basiliskhairs@gmail.com.

The only exceptions are items from the “ready to ship” sections – these items are also handmade, but they are ready and will ship within 1-3 business days.

2. SHIPPING COSTS

Shipping costs are calculated during checkout depending on the product and destination. There is also an option of express delivery, which you can choose during checkout.

The delivery fee is charged along with the purchase. This price will be the final delivery price for the customer.

3. RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

As these products are made to order and are handmade and on the list of items that cannot be resold for health/hygiene reasons – we do not accept returns or exchanges.

4. ORDER CANCELLATIONS

We accept order cancellations if :

  • This order is not from the “READY TO SHIP” section
  • Request a cancellation: within 24 hours of purchase.

Cancellation requests are only accepted via email to basiliskhairs@gmail.com.

5. WRONG ADDRESS / CHANGE OF DELIVERY ADDRESS

It is the responsibility of the customers to make sure that the shipping address entered is correct. 

If the incorrect address was inadvertently used on the BasiliskHairs.com purchase, it is the buyers’ responsibility to contact the person at the incorrect address. As per our policy, fulfillment is strictly required to ship to the address provided by the buyer.

6. UNDELIVERABLE ORDERS

Orders that are returned to us as undeliverable because of incorrect shipping information are subject to a restocking fee to be determined by us.

Often, such orders are also subject to a return fee, the amount of which is determined by the postal carrier, and in some cases – for express or international shipping – are disposed of by the carrier.

7. PARCELS DAMAGED IN TRANSIT

If you find a parcel is damaged in-transit, if possible, please reject the parcel from the courier and get in touch with our customer service. If the parcel has been delivered without you being present, please contact customer service with next steps.

8. LOST/STOLEN PACKAGES

BasiliskHairs.com is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. 

Once your package is dropped off at the post office we are no longer responsible for your package and responsibility is then passed onto the shipping carrier. 

If your tracking information states that your package was delivered to your address and you have not received it, please report to the local authorities.

9. DELIVERY TERMS

9.1 Transit Time USA.

In general, shipments are in transit for 10-15 business days (2-3 weeks).

Also, you can choose EXPRESS delivery, which will take from 5 to 7 business days (7-9 calendar days).

9.2 Transit time Internationally (countries outside the U.S.)

All international orders – we send the way that will be the fastest for the buyer country.

You can start the checkout process and view the shipping fees before you complete the checkout.  You will receive a tracking number once your order ships.  Please note, the fee is the cost of the postage and not applicable taxes.  Please research your country’s importing requirements in advance.  It may be possible you may have to pay customs taxes when importing.  We, unfortunately, can not provide assistance with fees since we do not know the importing fees or laws in other countries.  We are not responsible and will not reimburse for possible taxes paid upon receipt of your order.  
Generally, orders shipped internationally are in transit for 12-25 business days (2-5 weeks) depending on destination and customs processing.  We are only able to track a package using the same tracking number you’ll be issued.  Please check with your countries guidelines about tracking and shipping times.  We ask our customers to please be patient and give your order sufficient time to arrive.  We will do our part and try our best!

Also, you can choose EXPRESS delivery, which, depending on the country – will take from 5 to 9 business days (7-11 calendar days).

9.3 P.O. Box Shipping

BasiliskHairs will ship to P.O. box addresses using postal services only. We are unable to offer couriers or express services to these locations.
We can’t ship to an address other than the one on the order.
If you chose express delivery, but specified a PO BOX – we will send the fastest delivery way possible to the PO BOX, but delivery time will change, it will be longer than the express (estimated delivery time in your order – specified with the calculation of delivery express, which is not possible in the PO BOX)

9.4 Military Address Shipping

We are able to ship to military addresses using USPS. We are unable to offer this service using courier services.

9.5 Delivery Time Exceeded

If delivery time has exceeded the forecasted time, please contact us so that we can conduct an investigation.

10. TRACKING NOTIFICATIONS

Upon dispatch, customers will receive a tracking link from which they will be able to follow the progress of their shipment based on the latest updates made available by the shipping provider. 

Please check all folders – perhaps you have protection for receiving mails, and our mail ended up in SPAM.

Often, your package is already in transit (handed over to the delivery service) – but we don’t add a tracking number until it has actually been scanned by the postal service.

If you cannot find our notification, or you are not sure that the order has already been sent, you can always contact us directly via basiliskhairs@gmail.com – and we’ll give you a tracking number, even if you haven’t received an email notification yet.

11. DUTIES & TAXES

11.1 Sales Tax

Sales tax has already been applied to the price of the goods as displayed on the website

11.2 Import Duties & Taxes

Import duties and taxes for international shipments may be liable to be paid upon arrival in destination country. You will be required to settle the requisite fees when the items are arriving in the destination country.

This varies by country, and BasiliskHairs encourage you to be aware of these potential costs before placing an order with us. We, unfortunately, can not provide assistance with fees since we do not know the importing fees or laws in other countries.  We are not responsible and will not reimburse for possible taxes paid upon receipt of your order.  

If you refuse to pay duties and taxes upon arrival at your destination country, the goods will be returned to BasiliskHairs at the customers expense, and the customer will receive a refund for the value of goods paid, minus the cost of the return shipping. The cost of the initial shipping will not be refunded.

In some cases – especially for express international delivery – if you refuse to pay the fees, the parcels are disposed of by the carrier (because their return to us – exceeds the value of the goods several times).
